The Art of Play

Stay playful and youíll feel better.

Painting, kayaking, fishing a lazy river, trying a new recipe, reading a novel or writing oneÖ are you pursuing your non-work pleasures?

Many people donít play enough. Why does it matter? It matters because play is a great antidote to stress. It can provide a psychological balance that can help us regain some of the emotional equilibrium lost at work and through our daily obligations.

Playing keeps us in good mental health and may boost the immune system

Following is a list of some child-like behaviors that may be worth recapturing. Check the ones that generally apply to you most of the time.

____I enjoy singing and dancing.

____I participate in sports and exercise for fun.

____I have a means of expressing myself creatively.

____I know how to have fun.

____I am mostly happy and enjoy my life.

If you have checked more than 8, start to rediscover the child in you!!

Enjoy the summer and start to play more. By doing so, you might live a fuller, happier life.
