Surgery Resources

Operating Room services in the Department of Laboratory Animal Resources consist of the 4th and 7th floor Operating Rooms. The 4th floor O/R is used primarily for non-survival surgeries and teaching demonstrations. The 7th floor O/R suite is used for survival surgeries, x-rays and intensive care recovery.

DLAR provides anesthesia services for non-survival surgeries when scheduled 24 hours in advance. Survival surgeries should be scheduled as far in advance as possible by contacting departmental office (464-6563) and requesting to speak with the OR Nurse.
