Dress Code/Computers/CPR Course

DRESS CODE

Students are expected to be professionally attired in the clinical area. Students must wear an Upstate Medical University Identification Badge at all times. Reference should be made to the institutional policy for specific guidelines for acceptable dress.

COMPUTERS

Upstate Online courses (OL) are mainly delivered via Blackboard, our Learning Management System. The blended courses (BL) also require a computer and the internet, as they too often make use of Blackboard and other online tools. All students must have a computer/laptop that meets the requirements found on the Blackboard log in page (bb.upstate.edu; look for the announcement BELOW the log in area about Computer Requirements).

The College of Nursing technology requirements are in keeping with the university which are found on the following web page: http://www.upstate.edu/imtpublic/departments/distance-learning/technology-requirements.php.

Both the University and College of Nursing requirements are subject to changes, upgrades, and editing as technology changes and both hardware and software evolves.

To learn more about Blackboard's general browser support policy as well as information about Javascript, Cookies and other software go to: http://www.upstate.edu/imt/intra/edcomm/student-computing/blackboard-page.php and click on Browser Support.
