What is "Multicultural Resources"?

The Office of Multicultural Resources is committed to educating, assisting and informing students about health care professional opportunities beginning as soon as the eighth grade achool year continuing through medical school. The Office of Multicultural Resources provides access for historically underserved students to the College of Graduate Studies, College of Health professions, College of Nursing and College of medicine.

Does the Office of Multicultural Resources provide services for all students?

The Multicultural Resources concerns itself primarily with facilitating the recruitment, retention, and graduation of underrepresented minority students in all Colleges, while providing multicultural programs and services for the entire SUNY Upstate Medical University.

What services are provided through the Office of Multicultural Resources?

The Office of Multicultural Resources serves as a referral, supportive, educational and informative resource for Upstate Medical university students and staff. The office provides leadership in the establishment of an institutional envioronment supportive of respect for, and appreciation of diversity. Assistance is available to faculty,staff and students in acquiring skills leading to optimum health care practices in a multicultural society.
