Information for Faculty/Staff | Q & A | Resources | Binghamton Clinical Campus Who We AreHolly Vanderhoff, PhD Dr. Vanderhoff earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University in 2004. She is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with college students and young adults in a variety of clinical and community settings. Her clinical interests include self-harm behavior, sexual assault/trauma, anxiety, and relationship problems. Dr. Vanderhoff integrates cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal/relational approaches to therapy. Jill C. Thomas, PhD Dr. Thomas earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Miami University (OH) in 2007. She has worked with college students in various professional roles since 2001 and has been employed at Upstate Medical University since 2006. Her areas of clinical interest include disordered eating and body image issues, suicide, and sexuality. Dr. Thomas approaches therapy from a humanistic/relational model of understanding persons and their problems in living. Psychology Interns are advanced doctoral students in clinical or counseling psychology and are completing their final practical training prior to earning their degrees. They have experience providing psychotherapy to adults in a variety of clinical settings. Psychology interns see students for short- or long-term therapy. Psychiatry Residents working through the Student Counseling Service have earned their medical degrees (e.g., M.D., D.O.) and are in the final years of specialized post-graduate training in psychiatry. Residents provide psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy and/or pharmacological treatment to students.
