Current Rates —2006-2007
Total rent is calculated by the number of days in the license period. * These figures reflect the rate a student would be charged if their license period was August 20 through June 1st of the following year. Students are encouraged to check their individual academic programs for the exact beginning and ending dates. These rates are tentative and may be changed without notice.On-Campus Policy All undergraduates under 21 years of age are required to live on-campus. Exceptions to this policy may be made in writing to the Assistant Director of College Housing.
(Effective Fall 1992) PaymentRental payments are made in three parts — due on or before Fall registration (if paid, subtract the Advance Housing Payment from this payment); due on or before Spring registration; and due on or before Summer registration (if applicable). All payments are to be made at the Bursar's Office, Room 200, Campus Activities Building.Monthly: Students with special financial concerns may apply to pay monthly by contacting the Bursar's Office. Students approved for monthly payments are not billed each month for their rental payment. Monthly rental payments are due on or before the first of each month. Failure to make monthly payments on time may result in the loss of the privilege of paying rent on a monthly basis. Exceptions: Any person who is not a matriculated SUNY Upstate Medical University Student, requesting occupancy in Clark Tower, must pay for their rental charge in full in advance of the occupancy. Advance Housing PaymentAn advance housing payment of $150.00 is required of all students in order to secure housing. The payment is not required until room assignment is received. This payment is refundable until July 1 for incoming students and until June 1 for returning students. If a student is accepted after July 1, the payment paid is nonrefundable. For further details regarding the housing contract, consult your residence tower license, general terms and conditions of occupancy.
