Vera House offers comprehensive emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, referral, and educational services to individuals in crisis. CURRENT OPPORTUNITIESCrisis Call VolunteerProgram Description: Provide coverage of a crisis hotline to give emotional support and information regarding domestic violence and sexual assault. You must be capable of supporting and actively listening to those in crisis due to sexual assault, domestic violence, abuse.Program Duration: 10-15 hours per month plus training Program Contact: Karen Hargrave, Volunteer Coordinator University Hospital AdvocateProgram Description: Offer crisis intervention services to those affected by sexual assault. Involves nighttime and weekend coverage of crisis hotline, including both phone and face-to-face crisis advocacy at University Hospital.
