The NKF achieves life-saving results today through the contributions of a generous public including participation in NKF signature initiatives such as the Kidney Cars Vehicle Donation program, Kidney Walks and the NKF Golf Classic. CURRENT OPPORTUNITIESBlood Pressure ScreeningsProgram Description: Help the Kidney Foundation screen for high blood pressure, a leading cause of chronic kidney disease, at the Downtown Syracuse Farmers' Market, located in the parking lot at the corner of South Salina and Washington Streets.Program Duration: Mid June - Mid October, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Program Contact: Brian Buckley, MSII Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP)Program Description: KEEP is a health screening program designed to help identify and educate individuals who are at increased risk for developing kidney disease. The KEEP screening program offers blood and urine testing, on-site consultation by a physician, referrals and additional follow up for those whose test results are outside normal ranges. All participants whose test values are outside normal range are contacted and those without access to medical care are referred to appropriate health care providers.
