They work with many secular colleges and run teams on a secular basis to respect all. CURRENT OPPORTUNITIESBelize: Medical Mission8-12 day clinical program for students in any health profession program interested in rural and tropical medicine. Available year-round. $1,125. More Information...Program Website: http://lotwmissions.truepath.com/gpage3.html Program Location: Punta Gorda and Caye Caulker, Belize Program Duration: 8-12 days several times each month, with the option to join an open team or create your own. Program Cost: Missions cost $1,125 plus airfare. Program Eligibility: Students in any of the health professions are encouraged to participate. Program Description: The mission sets up medical clinics in the Mayan villages and works with the health post on the island of Caye Caulker. This provides a hands-on experience in remote areas. The mission also works in hospital of the Toledo district in southern Belize. The mission has recently adopted the pediatrics unit and is asking for teams to paint, electric wiring some plumbing. Also needed are new beds, fans nebulizers etc. Teams will get hands on experience in Jungle clinics, at Punto Gorda hospital and on the island of Caye Caulker. |
