Facilities

The Clinical Research Unit (CRU), located on the first floor of the IHP, is an Upstate Medical University supported specialized unit dedicated to conducting clinical research funded by government, industry or foundations. The CRU staff includes 5 Certified Research RNs who are dedicated exclusively to conducting research, and an experienced laboratory technician. The CRU contains a large nurses station, 9 private rooms, a room for meeting with sponsors, a swing room for PIs and a laboratory for processing specimens. DXA and MRI services as well as other meeting areas are adjacent.

All research conducted in the CRU must be approved by the University IRB and then the CRU Director, Arnold Moses, MD. For addition information or questions, contact either Kris Brindak, RN, Clinical Nurse Manager at (315) 464-9018 or Irene Knowles, CRU Administrative Coordinator at (315) 464-9000.
