General Information
Candida species acts as opportunistic pathogens in immunocomprimised
patients causing infections in many body sites. It is found as
a colonizer of the skin and mucosa in man and is a common cause
of superficial skin infection, oral and vaginal inection, sepsis
and disseminated disease. It can also be found on leaves, flowers,
water and soil.
