How to Take Classes

While enrolled students have the best course selection, each semester there are courses that may be open to non-matriculated students.

Matriculated students may apply in advance (details)

Non-matriculated students can follow this process to take a class:

  1. Choose a class(es) (up to 12 credits). Classes available for this semester.
  2. Apply for a UH tuition waiver. Download or pick up a form in room 1818 UH (Patient care Support), complete the application, have your service line administrator sign it, and return it to room 1816. If approved, a waiver letter will be left for you in room 1816. (Check with your union for other tuition benefits.)
  3. Download a drop/add form PDF document text and bring to the first class. If there is room the professor will sign enabling you to attend. When complete, return the form to the Registrar, Room 203 Campus Activities Building.
  4. Submit the tuition waiver to the Office of the Bursar, 200 Campus Activities Building.
