SACON Meeting, March 26th, 2003 at 3:30 PM, CON Rm. 301
Faculty Student Forum held on Wednesday, March 26th.
Meeting called to order by Meega Wells at 3:30 promptly.
Meeting Discussion:
In the meeting students and faculty discussed:
- The scholarship deadline is extended to April 7th. Please don't let this
money not be used. Its there to help the students with their college tuition
expenses.
- Survey analysis was brought to the attention of the faculty regarding the
BSN program and the MSN program. Tish McNally represented the undergraduate
students and Becky Dockstatter represented the graduate student body in regards
to comments brought forth in the student survey.
- Some of the highlights of this discussion were curriculum issues, leadership
of the College of Nursing, concerns of some classes not being appropriately
structured or tailored to meet the learners requirements, and too many group
presentations or little time to prepare for them.
- Students and Faculty that attended discussed these issues into fair enough
detail.
Also, discussion of networking of graduate students with undergraduate students
to help the transition to graduate level.
