RNFA—Admission Requirements
- RN licensure in the state in which the clinical practicum will be undertaken
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- CNOR or CNOR eligible
(Proof of certification must be submitted before program
completion)
OR
- Nationally board certified or board eligible as a nurse practitioner or midwife:
(Proof of certification must be submitted before course completion)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS) certification
- Completed application

- Signed letter of consent from a board certified
surgeon agreeing to act as the student’s preceptor
- Three letters of recommendation attesting
to the applicant’s years of experience as
an RN and to the knowledge, judgment
and skills specific to surgical patient care
