RNFA—Admission Requirements

  • RN licensure in the state in which the clinical practicum will be undertaken
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred
  • CNOR or CNOR eligible
    (Proof of certification must be submitted before program completion)

    OR
  • Nationally board certified or board eligible as a nurse practitioner or midwife:
    (Proof of certification must be submitted before course completion)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Completed application PDF document text including:
    • Signed letter of consent from a board certified surgeon agreeing to act as the student’s preceptor
    • Three letters of recommendation attesting to the applicant’s years of experience as an RN and to the knowledge, judgment and skills specific to surgical patient care
