Job Standard / Operational Needs

A faculty position to teach community health nursing and education courses. Responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching - Community Health, Education, and related courses each semester
  • Advising - Advise students in the College of Nursing
  • Clinical Practice - 20% of time may be devoted to clinical practice
  • Scholarship - Participate in scholarly activities
  • Service - Participate in appropriate professional, college, and university organizations

Successful candidates will have a background in community health in nursing and education.

Minimum Qualifications

Earned graduate degree in nursing from an institution of higher education accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency; Doctorate or plans for pursuing doctorate degree preferred; Eligible for New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse; Three years of recent experience in Community Health nursing; Working knowledge of curriculum design and implementation; For tenure track: Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field; teaching experience. For clinical track: Teaching experience preferred; national certification; Ability and skills to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, students, and others; Excellent organizational skills
