Michelle A. Dart, MSN, PNP, CDE, is the author of Motivational Interviewing in Nursing Practice: Empowering the Patient. She also has written a book on diabetes for children and is a contributing author to Nurse As Educator, written by Susan Bastable. A pediatric nurse practitioner, she also facilitates a diabetes support group and is a certified diabetes educator. She earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing at Elmira College in 1995, and her MS degree and pediatric nurse practitioner certificate in 2001 from Upstate Medical University.
