Before Your Baby Arrives
In addition to getting good prenatal care for you and your baby, there are other things you, and those closest to you, can do to prepare for your new arrival.
Your doctor will recommend you and a support person participate in childbirth classes. Upstate offers these Best Beginning Childbirth and New Family Classes free of charge:
- Expectant Parent Program Childbirth Classes
- Labor and Delivery (Hospital) Orientation and Tour
- Newborn Care
- My New Sibling (For 2 to 10 years old siblings in the family)
- Baby and Me Series
- Breastfeeding and returning to work or school.

Preparing For Birth
