Charge/Function:
Any student desiring a leave of absence from the College of Medicine must meet with one of the Deans in the Office of Student Affairs and request a leave (in writing) from the Leave of Absence Committee. In a supportive role, the Leave of Absence Committee will usually request the student to meet with the committee prior to their granting the leave of absence. A student may be required to meet with the committee periodically or at the end of the leave to review his/her progress toward the successful completion of the plan of activities which the student agreed to at the time of the leave.
