Charge/Function:

The committee will be charged to review relevant information pertaining to the course being evaluated, with specific attention paid to:

    Tthe written curriculum and pertinent documents describing course content, evaluation, schedules, etc.
    • the extent to which the written curriculum reflects the institutional goals and objectives, with special attention to areas of overlap with other courses.
    • the extent to which the course meets its stated goals and objectives and the appropriateness of the educational methods employed.
    • national test data, when available, to include both USMLE and National Board Shelf exams
    • formal written student course evaluations
    • a written questionnaire filled out by the course directors
    • any other data which is pertinent, such as national society curricula, student grade and performance on the course, and adequacy of course resources (space distribution, equipment, etc.)
    • comparability with the Binghamton Clinical Campus
