He became the Residency Director at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in 1987 and Director of Medical Education in 2003. Dr. Tucker is interested in sports medicine and has served on the Advisory Board of the College Athletic Trainers Society since 2004 and as Medical Consultant to the Athletic Department at Syracuse University since 1986. Dr. Tucker has authored/co-authored over 30 articles and book chapters in the family medicine literature. He has been awarded the Earnest Carhart Outstanding Teacher in Family Medicine Award four times, was the New York State Academy of Family Practice Family Medicine Educator of the Year in 2002 and was listed in "The Best Doctors in America" for five consecutive years (2003-2007), which is published by Worldwide Healthcare Services.
