Dr. Novak is an active preceptor in the Residency and developed the Practice Management curriculum. Dr. Novak is the Medical Director of the Elmcrest Children's Center. Dr. Novak is also a member of the New York State Academy of Famuly Physicians Congress of Delegates. Under Dr. Novak's development and guidance, the Medicine Management curriculum was annually lauded by graduating residents and has been presented as a prototype at national meetings of Family Medicine educators. Dr. Novak serves as Team III Attending Physician and as an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Dr. Novak has served as a Reviewer for the National Family Medicine Committee since 1982. He has also been a member of Metrahealth's Quality Assurance Committee since 1993 and the Onondaga County Medical Society Grievance Committee since 1987.
