The Admissions Committee is comprised of:

  • Basic Science Faculty
  • Clinical Faculty
  • College of Medicine Alumni
  • local physicians
  • fourth-year students
  • Binghamton Campus Director of Student Affairs
  • Director of Multicultural Affairs
  • Director of Admissions

The Admissions Committee considers many factors when selecting applicants, including the following:

  • Academic achievement in the sciences, humanities and social sciences
  • Volunteer and clinical experience
  • Communication skills
  • Meaningful experiences dealing with and relating to people
  • Character
  • Motivation for selecting a career in medicine

I am particularly honored to serve as Dean of the College of Medicine. As an alumnus of the Class of 1979 and a member of the faculty since 1986, I have been extraordinarily pleased at the growth of the Medical School over this time and proud of the work of its faculty and graduates.
