Affiliation

The CNYOHCC is part of the NY State Occupational Health Clinic Network. The CNYOHCC functions within the Department of Family Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University, in Syracuse NY.

This project was developed as a result of the growing recognition of disease resulting from exposure to hazards in the workplace and the need for physician specialists and other health care providers trained in occupational medicine to thoroughly evaluate and diagnose work-related diseases.

An advisory board made up of representatives from labor groups, business organizations, acdemic institutions, professional groups, governmental agencies, and other groups concerned with worker health and safety provides consultation and guidance regarding CNYOHCC programs and policies.
