"Having a master's already, I did not believe I would pursue another degree. When I saw the connection between Upstate and Syracuse University, it made the MPH program even more attractive. As I sat down with my advisor to plan the path of MPH courses, I began to see what I can do with this degree and honestly cannot wait to put it to use.

"I am a midwife, and I have come to appreciate Syracuse's crisis in access to prenatal care. To address this, I would like to create and direct a Midwifery service. Because early registration into prenatal care is crucial in improving perinatal outcomes, this service would be one available option for pregnant women."
