Shannon Magari, ScD, MPH

Dr. Magari is a Principal owner of the Colden Corporation an occupational health, safety and environmental consulting firm.  Prior to this Shannon worked in large pharmaceutical manufacturing and small biotechnology research.  Shannon holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering and epidemiology, and a Doctor of Science in Environmental Health concentrating in occupational epidemiology from the Harvard University School of Public Health.  Her thesis focused on evaluating the cardiovascular health effects of airborne particulate air pollution. 

At the Colden Corporation, Shannon aids her clients in determining the origin and nature of health concerns in the workplace, and provides litigation support in suspected cases of occupationally or environmentally induced illnesses.  She also continues to perform air quality research and advise students through academic appointments at the Harvard School of Public Health and the LC Smith College of Engineering at Syracuse University. Shannon serves as the academic advisor for the student chapter of Engineers Without Borders at Syracuse University.

Shannon currently serves as an officer and board member for the Syracuse University Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems and a board member for the Central New York Occupational Medicine Clinic.
