What is Public Health?

Public health is a diverse and dynamic field of study which advances improvements in health and health care, safety, and quality of life for entire populations. The MPH prepares professionals to treat the broader community as the "patient." The applications of this degree are limitless.

The range of professionals who use public health skills includes those who are seeking to work in both the healthcare and public health setting, policy makers, physicians, nurses, administrators, patient educators, teachers, lawyers to name a few. Employment opportunities include the fields of environmental health, biostatistics, health education, community healthcare, public policy and more.
