Radiation Therapy Program Video

The College of Health Professions also offers a bachelor's degree program in Radiation Therapy Technology. Radiation Therapists directly treat cancer patients by safely using various types of radiation, such as x-rays, gamma rays and electrons. Since treatments are usually given daily for up to seven weeks, therapists can develop close relationships with their patients. Therapists also help with a wide range of other tasks, like performing treatment dose calculations and computerized treatment plans. When students graduate, they will have developed a network of professional contacts and have gained invaluable work skills.

"It's a good feeling. You know you're helping people. For our patients, cancer is still treatable. If they weren't coming to us, they wouldn't be getting better."
