She earned an M.S. degree in Education from SUNY Oswego. She chairs and teaches in the radiation therapy department. Her research interests include cancer prevention and early detection, and the relationship between anatomy and radiation treatment. She has served on various American Society of Radiologic Technologists and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists committees, and as a Joint Review Committee in Education in Radiologic Technology accreditation site visitor. She has presented lectures at regional, national, and international professional meetings, and has authored and coauthored peer reviewed articles. She has been awarded the President's Excellence in Teaching Award, and along with her coauthors, won the 2006 American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Harold Silverman Distinguished Author Award.
