Medical technologists, also known as Clinical Laboratory Scientists, diagnose and monitor a variety of diseases by using high tech instruments, microscopes and research techniques. Medical technologists can also select a career in areas such as cancer research, organ transplantation, molecular diagnostics, drug testing, biogenetics or forensic laboratory practice, laboratory sales and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The master's program for graduate technologists prepares students in the specialty areas of hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, blood banking, and immunology.
