Understanding Imaging Session Registration

Applicants to the Medical Imaging Sciences Program at SUNY Upstate Medical University are required to attend an Understanding Imaging Session which is offered at Upstate at different times throughout the year.

It is our hope that this session will provide students with a realistic and concrete understanding of Medical Imaging Sciences which includes:

  • Radiography (x-ray)
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI)
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ultrasound)

Students attending the Understanding Imaging Session will receive a Certificate of Attendance which must be submitted to Student Admissions in the application process. Certificates will not be distributed to students who report more than 15 minutes late or who do not remain for the complete presentation.
