MEDT 434 Applied Statistics

This course is designed to take the students beyond the basics of medical and research statistics. The course requires knowledge of fundamental statistics and working knowledge of a computer software program (for examples Excel, Minitab, SPSS, Systat). The content of the course will focus on the solution of research questions presented by the instructor. Each student must determine what the problem requires and then select the appropriate statistical "tools" necessary for the subsequent investigation of uncertainty and variability.
