MEDT 357 Laboratory InstrumentationThis course presents the operating principles of instrumentation used in contemporary medical/clinical laboratories. Knowledge of the operation of these instruments is gained through demonstration and hands-on experiences. Instruments such as spectrophotometer, fluorometers, blood gas analyzers, automated chemistry and hematology systems are included. Course sessions include: integrated lectures and laboratory periods on circuit fundamentals, electronic devices, and electronic systems pertinent to laboratory instrumentation.
