Prerequisites: Respiratory Therapy

SUNY Upstate is an upper-division transfer college specializing in health care careers. Students applying to our bachelors programs take the prerequisite courses (minimum 54 semester hours) at another college and then complete their junior and senior years of the bachelor's degree at Upstate for their program of study.

Bachelor of Science (BS)

Requires a minimum of 54 semester hours including:

Preferred: Anatomy & Physiology II, Microbiology
Acceptable: Human Biology, Cell Biology, Physiology, General Biology, General Zoology or any biology course approved by both Admissions and the Department Chair

Minimum grade for transfer is a "C".

Admitted students will need to complete CPR for the Professional Rescuer or BLS for the Health Care Provider certification prior to enrollment.
