Sleep Course Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, each student will understand:
- basic sleep terminology
- sleep structure
- sleep disorders.
- international 10-20 system and other components of basic polysomnographic hookups
- physiological effects of sleep-related breathing disorders and the different modalities used in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea
- basic respiratory and cardiac physiology. How to acquire, score, and report computerized polysomnographic data.
