College of Health Professions
A Medical University strives to fulfill a mission that is quite complex, but can be described in two simple words: healing and teaching.
SUNY Upstate Medical University is one of only 130 academic medical centers in the country, and students in the College of Health Professions (CHP) are a big part of it. Our CHP students have access to the same academic and clinical facilities as our nursing students, medical students, and our PhD candidates in the biomedical sciences.
CHP students are part of a medical university that, among its four colleges, each year awards approximately 400 bachelor's degrees, bachelor of professional studies degrees, master's degrees and doctoral degrees. That's what SUNY Upstate offers—and our students reap the benefits of low in-state tuition, a dedicated faculty and a professional atmosphere from day one.
