HIV CEI Goals
Primary Goal
- Provide comprehensive clinical education to community-based medical providers engaged in HIV care to enable them to increase the quality and complexity of care provided to patients with HIV disease.
Secondary Goal
- Encourage identification of patients at risk for HIV infection
- Provide education on appropriate management of HIV disease
- Establish and solidify consultation and referral relationships between the community-based medical providers with HIV specialists and tertiary care systems.
- Expand the base of clinicians delivering HIV care
