This resource, now in Version 1.0.1 (January 2007), is a comprhensive thematic index or research articles which pertain to methamphetamine. The cited articles are drawn principally from peer-reviewed journals.

Light Up Your Life: A Leadership Forum on HIV and Smoking.
This 8-page newsletter highlights an HIV and smoking conference that the NYSDOH/AI sponsored in November 2005 for service providers. Presenters explain the extent of smoking among PLWHA, give information and advice on working with PLWHA who smoke, and urge service providers to develop quit-smoking services.
HIV and Smoking: It&s Time to Live!
This booklet explains to PLWHA the health hazards of smoking and the benefits of quitting and gives specific advice on how to kick the habit. PLWHA and service providers had extensive input into the content development, design, and layout of the
booklet. It includes testimonials from PLWHA who have successfully quit and started quit-smoking programs of their own and it lists resources for more information and help.

types of cancer that most frequently affect PLWHA and explains how HIV and other viruses work together to allow cancers to develop. It recommends screenings and other methods to detect cancer in its early stages and diet, exercise, and other changes that can help prevent cancers.
