Flattened left hemisphere of GAP-43 wildtype (+/+) mouse cortex immunostained with serotonin transporter (5HT-T). The layer IV thalamocortical afferents show a complete body map: V: visual, A: auditory, a-e: large whiskers, SW: small whiskers, LL: lower lip, FL: forelimb, T: trunk, HL: hindlimb.
