Welcome to Human Anatomy

Welcome to Human Anatomy, a first year medical school course presented by the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the College of Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. The faculty and staff involved with teaching this course are committed to providing students with an opportunity to learn about the wonders of the human body in a modern, clinically relevant course.

The CNY Anatomical Gift Program is an integral component of gross anatomy. Through this program, the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology is licensed by the Health Department of the State of New York to conduct a non-transplant anatomic bank. This program enables the department to receive gifts of donated human cadavers and to utilize these gifts for the purpose of educating health professionals and to further medical research.
