On campus, we are located in rooms 313, 315, 319, 321 and 323 Weiskotten Hall Addition. These are the last labs before entering the elevated walkway to University Hospital. From off campus, you can find us with the driving directions or the map

Current Lab Members:

Boyd Butler, Graduate Student
Send Boyd an email
Boyd is using actin polymerization from purified integrin tails to assess integrin activation at the cytoplasmic face. He is also involved in the search for binding partners of tyrosine phosphorylated beta-3.
Matthew P. Williams, Research Associate
Send Matt an email
Matt does everything else.
Surjit Chandhoke, Graduate Student
Send Surjit an email
Surjit is localizing tyrosine phosphorylated beta-3 integrins using phosphospecific antibodies and determing the role of ROCK in Arp2/3 organization into podosomes.
Chunlei "Marina" Gao, Graduate Student
Send Marina an email
Marina is working on the role of Vav in the formation of integrin adhesion complexes.
Akos Mersich, MD/PhD Student
Send Akos an email
Akos is working on the cloning and localization of formins in leukocyte integrin adhesion complexes.
Angela Deas, Graduate Student
Send Angela an email
Angela is a first year graduate student who will begin her thesis research in the lab in June of 2005. She will be working on actin cytoskeletal regulation during leukocyte adhesion and we look forward to her joining the lab.
Looking for a Post-doctoral fellowship?
Send the PI an email
Positions are available for postdoctoral study of integrin activation, regulation of the inflammatory leukocyte phenotype, platelet adhesion biology, and related areas.

Gone, but not forgotten....

Michele Sexton, SURF student Michele was using peptide mimetics of the tyrosine phosphorylated beta-3 tail to screen lambda phage expression libraries for direct binding partners. UPDATE: Michele is in grad school at Baylor.
Pablo Ferraro, Post-doctoral Fellow Pablo is now a private practice oncologist in Miami.
Innocent Yamodo, Post-doctoral Fellow Innocent has moved on to Harvard to study malaria.
Jeanine Pignatelli, SURF Student
Send Jeanine an email
Jeanine is back in college for her senior year but will returning to Upstate for graduate study in the Fall of 2005.
Eve Mitchell, undergrad assistant Eve is at Tulane in an MS program following a Peace Corp stint.
Amanda Corsetti, undergrad assistant Amanda is now paying back her ROTC duties, posted in Washington D.C.
