Hobbies/Interests: My favorite hobby is reading books (mostly fiction), ranging from evergreen classics to avant-garde bestsellers. I like to write as well, but do it very sporadically (mainly prose). I also love public speaking including compering various programs and acting in plays. Listening to music is a daily rejuvenating ritual. I enjoy badminton & swimming but am much better at the former. I like working out at the gym. Painting is another one of my hobbies which I indulge in when I possess the time and inclination.
A Little About Myself: I did my MBBS from Delhi, India and came to the US to pursue further studies.
Why I Chose Cardiology at Upstate Medical University: I applied initially to Syracuse for residency as I have family in NY and wanted to be nearby. On the day of my interview I felt that people around me, including residents and faculty, were all a very happy group of people!! I finished my residency here followed by a chief year and enjoyed it immensely. I had ample opportunity to interact with the department of cardiology and got to know and appreciate the program.
