Artist's Bio

French Pyrenean-born Nicole Peyrafitte is a performance artist, singer, poet and painter. She draws on her eclectic heritage to paint, film and perform songs ranging from French cabaret to jazz standards and comtemporary poetry. Her work is ofter integrated into multimedia stagings based on her visual work and writings.

About the Cantatas

Each drawing of this on-going series is based on a given Bach Cantata and on morphic perpectives of pelvic bones. Both the drawings and the performance consist of personal derivations generated simultaneously by anatomical/medical material on the pelvic area.
