WHAT IS THE SYRACUSE AL-ANON
INFORMATION SERVICE?
The Syracuse Al-Anon / Alateen Information Service
(AIS) is a local Service Center established by the local Al-Anon and Alateen
groups in the Syracuse Metropolitan Area (including Onondaga, Cayuga,
Oswego Counties, and parts of Cortland and Madison Counties) and is supported
by the local Al-Anon Family Groups. The AIS operates an Al-Anon Service
Center and handles all information inquiries from Al-Anon and Alateen
members as well as from the general public and the professional community

The Syracuse Al-Anon Information Service
Center and Literature Depot is staffed by volunteers from the local Al-Anon
Family groups. The Service Center is located on the first Floor of the
old Maria Regina College Campus, now operated as the Pen and Pages Center
by the Sisters of Saint Francis. The Al-Anon Service Center is in Room
11. Parking is available on the Grant Boulevard side of the Maria Regina
complex. Entry to the building can be made by the doors on the left-hand
side of the building, closest to the Wilson Convent. Listed below are
the current hours that the Service Center is staffed by a volunteer. However,
always call ahead (315) 471-0191 just to make sure someone is at the service
center.

What else does the Syracuse Al-Anon Information
Service do?
- Maintains a listing in the local telephone directory
- Publishes the local Al-Anon / Alateen Meeting
Schedule
- Provides volunteers for the Service Center who
answer all Al-Anon and Alateen phone calls
- Process incoming mail and other requests for
information
- Operates an Al-Anon /Alateen Distribution center
of Al-Anon /Alateen Conference Approved Literature for sale
- Coordinates local Public Information projects
- Maintains the Syracuse AIS Al-Anon /Alateen
Archives
- Publishes the monthly AIS Newsletter which is
sent out to all local Al-Anon and Alateen groups
- Holds monthly meetings attended by local Al-Anon
/Alateen Group Representatives, as well as the AIS Officers and Coordinators,
where local Al-Anon issues and group problems are discussed in the light
of Al-Anon's 12 traditions

SYRACUSE AL-ANON INFORMATION
SERVICE MEETING
The Syracuse Al-Anon Information Service (A.I.S.)
Meeting is usually held on the fourth Monday of every month, 7:00 pm at
the Service Center. The meeting usually lasts until 9:00 pm and is attended
by the AIS Officers, Coordinators, Group Representatives from the local
Al-Anon and Alateen groups, and by any interested Al-Anon or Alateen member.
