The first Spanish group in Syracuse has been registered with WSO under the name CALMA Y SERENIDAD (Peace and Serenity).

Posters were developed to advertise the meeting. (Copies of these posters were included in the Newsletter AFYI in June. If you need more you can have copies made.) The poster in Spanish appeared in the CNY LATINO newspaper in July. At the time we were in conversations with the publisher to insert the Crying House Bookmark. We were able to come to an agreement and it appeared in both English and Spanish in the August issue. ( I have a copy if anyone is interested in seeing it.) It will be appear in the newspaper for 6 months. CNY LATINO is a bilingual newspaper (all articles appear in English and Spanish). 8000 copies are distributed free of charge in the central NY area from Utica to Geneva and from Oswego to Cortland.

Regular meetings started Tuesday May 9. Eventhough currently there are only 2 of members, other people that have expressed interest in attending.

The Spanish Answering Line that was set up in March has been checked regularly and to date has had no messages.
