NEXT SYRACUSE A.I.S. MEETING:

NOTE: AS OF MARCH 7, 2008, THE SYRACUSE AL-ANON SERVICE CENTER HAS MOVED TO ROOM #11 ON THE FIRST FLOOR OF THE PEN AND PAGES BUILDING, 1118A COURT ST.

The next Syracuse AIS Meeting will be on April 28 at 7:00 PM at the Syracuse Al-Anon Service Center. The meeting will be in our NEW location, Room 11 in the same building. We will be electing Al-Anon members to serve as the Public Outreach Coordinator, and the Alateen Coordinator. We will also be going over the 2008 AIS Budget and conducting a meeting of the Enlightenment Committee.

DISTRICT 3

The Monday Night Al-Anon Adult Children meeting, 7:00 pm, at the First United Methodist Ch, 17 W. Genesee St., Baldwinsville, needs some support.

The Sunday Night Mattydale Al-Anon group, 8:30 PM at St. Margaret's School , 200 Roxboro Rd.and Rte. 11, Mattydale, needs some support.

The Live And Let Live Al-Anon, 7:00 pm Wednesdays at the Liverpool Christian Ch. 2021 Cold Springs Rd.,(Route. 370) near John Glenn Blvd. needs some support.

The Al-Anon 12 Steps Meeting, Monday Mornings at 9:00 am at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Church, 3494 Route 31, in Baldwinsville. Come and support this new Al-Anon meeting. UPDATE: It has been reported that no one has been showing up for this meeting in the last few weeks. It could really use support.

DISTRICT 15

March 29, 2008 - Saturday Morning Growing Circle Al-Anon's 11th Anniversary 10:30 am at St. James School., South Salina St. at Seneca Turnpike.

District 15 will be hosting the Al-Anon program at the 57th Annual AA Area 47 Convention with Al-Anon and Alateen participation, on June 6-8, 2008, at the Holiday Inn, Liverpool. They will need the help of Al-Anon members to put on the program for Saturday, June 7, 2008. If you'd like to help, contact Cliff P. at 315-672-3115.

The Otisco Valley Al-Anon, 7:30 pm Tuesday's at St. Patrick's Parish Hall, Rt. 80, Otisco needs some support.

The 1 in 31 Al-Anon, 10:30 am Wednsday's at The Open House, 1947 W. Fayette St, Syracuse needs some support.

The Westenders Al-Anon, 8:00 pm Wednesday's at The Open House, 1947 W. Fayette St., Syracuse needs some support.

The Open House Al-Anon 10:30 am at The Open House, 1947 W. Fayette St.,Syracuse needs some support.

The Adult Children Work in Progress Al-Anon,7:00 pm at the St. Joseph the Worker School Room #7, 6th and Tulip Sts., Liverpool needs some support.

DISTRICT 18

The next District 18 meeting will be on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the Al-Anon Service Center -Room #11.

At the same District 18 Meeting, the 2008 District 18 Budget was passed as amended.GR's
needing Fee Assistance or rides to the 2008 Spring Convention need to get in touch with Louise F.(463-8035) by April 1, 2008.

 The Fellowship Sunday Al-Anon,7:00 pm at the James St. Unit. Methodist Ch., 3027 James St., Corner of Rigi (side door) (Ring bell if after 7:00 pm) needs some support.The group will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary in June, 2008.

The Monday Night Pride Al-Anon,7:00 pm at The Women's Info Center, 601 Allen St., Syracuse needs some support. All Al-Anon members are welcome regardless of their sexual orientation. Step Mtg. 2nd Monday

The Shalom Al-Anon, 5:30 pm Wendnesday's at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 801 E. Colvin St. Syr. needs some support.

The Al-Anon Adult Children, 7:00 pm Wednesday's at the United Methodist Church, Falls Blvd., Chittenango needs some support.

The Finger Lakes Al-Anon, 8:00 pm Wednesday's at Tully Hill, Patients Room, 5821 Route 80, Tully, NY, needs some support.

The Tuesday Noon Madison Irving Al-Anon Meeting (12:00 pm, University United Methodist Church,1085 E. Genesee St.) moved from the Madison Irving Building to the University United Methodist Church, 1085 E. Genesee St, corner of University Ave. This group needs some support.

The Calma y Serenidad Spanish Al-Anon Group, 8:00 pm Wednesday's at the United Church of Fayetteville, 310 E.Genesee St., Fayetteville needs some support from Spanish Speaking Al-Anon members.Our answering service now has a Spanish language contact for Al-Anon information and meeting locations in Spanish. EN ESPANOL

Always Growing Eastwood Alateen needs another Al-Anon Member to commit to serving as an Alateen Sponsor. Helen H. has been sponsoring the group alone since March of 2006. If you can help as an Alateen Sponsor, contact Helen H., Sponsor (and NYN Area Alateen Coordinator and Area Alateen Process Person) , at 469-8082. The group is still meeting regularly, and growing. They celebrated their 7th Anniversary on January 3, 2008 with a special candle light meeting.

Louise is Chairing the 2008 NYN Fall Election Assembly and will be needing volunteers to help out in planning and putting on the Election Assembly. She is currently looking for a volunteer to serve as Treasurer, as well as members to help out with Registration, Hospitality, Literature, and Crafts and Raffles. The 2008 New York North Fall Election Assembly will be held at the Maplewood Inn on 7th North Street, in Liverpool, NY. The Election Assembly is held every three years and is always hosted by the Syracuse Al-Anon Information Service (AIS), Our theme is "Service - the Heart of Al-Anon".

DISTRICT 21

The Thursday Oswego Al-Anon, 8:00 pm Thursday's at the Salvation Army, West Second St, ,Oswego needs some support.

DISTRICT 28

The Weedsport Al-Anon, 8:00 pm Wednesday's at the First United Methodist Church, 2744 E. Brutus St, needs some support.

 

NOTE: Due to recent Security problems at the Pen and Pages Center, Service Center Volunteers and other Al-Anon members involved in service coming to the Al-Anon Service Center for meetings etc. will have to stop and check in with the guard on duty in the guard station. As always, please do not park in a spot reserved for the Sisters, or their Nun Better Candy Shop.

A Reminder: NO ONE should be in the Service Center when a volunteer is not present.
