The Al-Anon Promises taken from the Suggested Al-Anon Welcome and Closing

We can find solutions that lead to serenity.

It is possible for us to find contentment, and even happiness, whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not.

Our problems lose their power to dominate our thoughts and our lives.

The family situation is bound to improve.

The loving interchange among members and daily readings make us ready to receive serenity.

We can feel free to say what is in our minds and hearts.

You can take what you like and leave the rest.

Whatever your problems, there are those among us who have had them too.

Keep an open mind and you will find help.

Though you may not like all of us, you'll love us in a special way-- the same way we already love you.
