What are Al-Anon Adult Children Meetings?
Many of us in Al-Anon grew up in families affected by alcoholism. However, we do not always recognize the part this disease played in shaping us into the individuals we are today. Not suspecting that the experiences we had as children affect us as adults, is it any wonder we are bewildered when we find that our lives today are unmanageable? Al-Anon Adult Children Groups arose out of the realization that many members of Al-Anon had grown up in families affected by alcoholism. What was experienced as children continues to affect us as adults. By meeting with others who were similarly affected, we come to a better understanding of ourselves. The experience, strength and hope of the members of our fellowship allow us to overcome the effects of our childhood experiences. The following is a simple questionaire to assist
