The Advocates committed to 60 grants totaling $120,000 in their 2013-14 budget. These grants were given to the campus and hospital, helping to improve patient care, support medical education and enhance community health.
Now Accepting 2014-2015 Grant Funding Applications
Applications will be accepted from February 3, 2014 until the deadline: 12 pm noon on February 28, 2014. Due to continued departmental budget constraints, we anticipate a high volume of requests.
Each year The Advocates allocate a portion of their financial resources to this program, which is intended to fulfill its mission: improve patient care and satisfaction, support medical education and enhance community health. We accept applications for grants from departments across the Upstate Medical University Campuses. A committee of Advocates reviews and determines which projects to fund. Successful applications are those that are in alignment with one or more of the three mission strategies stated above. These grants are not for individual scholarship funding but for departments and programs. Money may only be spent for approved allocations.
All applicants will be notified of decisions made by the Grant Funding Committee prior to The Advocates’ Annual Meeting & Luncheon in May. Approved funds will be available June 1, 2014.
