Fundraising sponsored by The Advocates results in support for many hospital based programs. Recent grants provided financial support to individual departments throughout Upstate Medical University including:

Upstate Poison Center: "Look-Alike" flip charts that illustrate similar looking poisonous and non-poisonous products found in and around the home

Palliative Care: Comfort care items such as CDs and CD players for end-of-life patients to use for relaxation, distraction and pain relief

Pediatrics: Musical instruments to comfort young patients. Brochures to educate parents about their child's at-home care, including post-surgical signs and symptoms

Psychiatry: Socialization programs such as outings for patients

Cardiovascular: Women's Healthy Heart program information

Infectious Disease: Appointment calendars for HIV/AIDS patients
